Formed in the fall of 2018 on the Redwood laden coast of California, Edifice came together through a common desire to create skillful, thought provoking explorations in the ever-expanding arena of heavy music. Drawing from a myriad of influences, Edifice evokes doom metal the likes of Sleep, Neurosis, ISIS, and Old Man Gloom, while taking atmospheric calls from Red Sparrowes, Pelican, Explosions in the Sky and Boris. Edifice has begun playing shows around the Bay Area and are building a following in 2019. In March of 2019, Edifice released their first demo, a 5 song self-titled EP. The demo was entirely recorded, mixed, and mastered by the band in Redwood City, CA over the winter of 2018-19.
